Pokemon Go and the Samsung S20 Ultra

While this is primarily a Niantic issue, perhaps a gentle 'nudge' from Samsung might get their attention. All Samsung Galaxy Store versions of PoGo starting with 0.170.0 and subsequent updates 0.171.1 and 0.171.2 will freeze a few seconds after starting the game, from various Forum Threads around it seems to be just the S20 Ultra has this issue, i also have an S8+ and i even resurrected an old S7 Flat to test it and all updates are fine on them, luckily a forced update hasn't happened yet but when it comes looks like S20 Ultra players will be locked out, just to point out this also happens on the Google Play Store versions so ball is in Niantic's court.

The s20 is not yet optimized, it has hardly left pre-sales yet ...

Let's wait until Niantic optimizes the game for the s20 ...

I've contacted Niantic but there's no answer yet.

Hi Here in U.K and Usa and possible other countries since the Pokemon go update there are problems with apparently ALL the s20 range. The main issues been freezing within seconds of game loading. Black screen etc. i contacted Niantic and at first they sent me a very long to do. I.E uninstalling, game reinstalling removing the app clearing Data and Cash etc after trying this twice and still having the same problem i recontacted Niantic and they advise they are aware of the problem with S20 and are looking into the problem. i at the moment have the luxury of still having my s8 so can continue to play. Lets hope Niantic can get sorted soon. To contact Niantic go to settings on Pokemon go then get support then troubleshooting. I know a lot of people wont be able to access this while game is freezing.

Yes I feel like a nudge from Samsung may get niantic to get up and fix this problem

I've done the same. Support seem to have such a wall up that makes comment almost impossible

I feel Samsung must be very embarrassed about this. They gave us a large discount on the Genesect event. Then to fine that their flagship phone is being out performed by their A10.....wow

confused...the version that it the most current is 0.171.2-G. Where did you get the older version? On the Samsung site?
