Apps shouldn't download ingo your phone unless they have been instigated via the Playstore by the user of the phone @WoodyR

The phone is set up out of the box to not allow downloads from unknown sources.

Take a look in your Playstore to look at your settings and adjust them if necessary.

Is there anything in particular your doing on your phone that appears to result in the download of an app.

Is this app then showing in your Playstore Library  ?

First delete everything in connection to the site visited including browsing history.

Then clear your phone's System Cache Files.

Clear your phone's System Cache Files by turning your phone Off and then from a set series of button presses go into the phone's System Files and clear the cache. No information is lost this way. You may need to insert your headphones or hook upto a computer with your data cable to get to this menu on the phone. https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/

See if that helps @WoodyR
