OneUI 3.0 on Galaxy S20 FE 5G - update stops messenger bubbles

Updated and my Facebook messenger bubbles have stopped appearing which is annoying as I use it as my main messaging app. Any ideas how to get them appearing? Settings haven't changed on messenger but the update appears to be stopping any overlay from the app!

when you get a messenger notification there should be a button you can push on it that will open it into a bubble. you can also do this at any time by going to settings > notifications > more > messenger > show as bubbles - all

it's like this now because Android 11 now has inbuilt bubbles that work with multiple apps, not just messenger

this is an issue with the Facebook app.

This is not a app issue, it startedafter last samsung update. It also sets notifications so you have to close bubbles to mark messages read, not enough to read them. Also when you have bubbles they do noe save placement

Yes, this is very frustrating indeed. The new "bubbles" also do not open in fullscreen as the messenger pop ups used to.

it is an app issue. Whether it started after the last update 9r not doesn't matter, FB are the designers and developers of the FB app, not Samsung. For it not to work (coincidentally) after a firmware update, would indicate that Facebook are behind on their security updates as well as many other possible patches, updates and fixes that would have been resolved during the Samsung/Android update.

greymatter is missing some greymatter. This is because samsung firmware overrides the app settings of facebook messenger. Disabling floating notifications disables all floating notifications from apps like messenger.
