Thought I'd compose a list of the things I hate with this recent update.

1. No 120hz support in medium power saving mode. (Why implement this now? It's worked fine for me the last 9 months!)

2. Options removed from the top of smart pop up view. (Why have you added an extra step to closing a smart pop up? There was no issue with the options bar being in plain sight!)

3. Having to use edge screen to switch apps in split screen view. (My muscle memory is to swipe home and then pick an app from the home screen or the app drawer. Now I have to swipe on this small part of the edge which sometimes registers as a back swipe!)

4. AOD Clock font and fingerprint symbol. (Personal preference but I prefer the old ones, these look tacky to me)

5. Grey app drawer (Why do I have a grey app drawer in dark mode? Surely it should be black!)

6. Notification Panel (horribly slow animation, don't like the transparency prefere the old black version)

7. Have to use USB-C Headphones just to clear cache partition (never needed them before so why now?l

8. Unable to open apps when exiting Split Screen View. (Happened a few times this now. I will exit split screen, attempt to open an app and nothing will happen causing me to restart my phone to get it to work again.)

As you can tell I'm not impressed at all with this update. As someone who came from iOS to android I was initially impressed. But just seeing how much they change up software and make it less user friendly for no reason at all I probably won't be buying another Samsung phone when it comes to me upgrading.

It's not all negative there are some positives. Like the battery menu is much cleaner and provides info much simpler than before, other than that there isn't much else that's improved though.

@JaseC

Did you send this feedback as part of the Beta Programme being a tester via the route intended for Beta testing as well as posting here ?

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²³ Ultra 512Gb in Phantom Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

I left feedback through the members app for the odd bug with split screen view. I'm not a beta tester as I'm someone who doesn't want to be dealing with bugs the green tint issue months ago with the S20 series really annoyed me (luckily that was patched quickly). I just feel a lot of my issues are not going to be considered as it is down to personal preference sometimes.

You are forgetting the following:

9 removal of maximum power saving more

10 appearantly less flexible medium power saving (which is the only mode now)

11 no more the possibility to swipe on lock screen clock to go between various panels like music ect... now you need to click on the clock to open it fullscreen and then swipe

12 overall simplificaton which in many cases became a lost of control options

Hope they fix this in the 3.1 version
