notificstions on whats app

Hi ive just got my ultra. My problem is my whats app messages dont always work when i get a message.  I will get a few messages that make a sound to alert me. Then for no reason il get one that is silent. Ive checked all settings and they are as they should be. Ive checked them with my s10+ which works perfectly and they are tge same. Any advice plz. Thankyou

Have you tried uninstalling the app and then re-installing to this if this helps?
