Notifications are only loading up once I get connected to WiFi on my s20 Ultra

So i've got an unlimited data plan and an s20

the issue is this. 

Some notifications arent loading up and only do so when the phone is connected to wifi. I'll spend a whole day driving around etc using my data to stream stuff however i'll get home and suddenly 10 ebay notifications load up.

this even happens when i load up the ebay app mid-shift. so i'll know something sold but i'll get the notification for it once i have wifi. 

I've checked the setting and optimised the battery usage and its not helping at all. It is driving me nuts. Its all fully up to date with regards to the software. 

this is happening to other apps but recently this is also happening to whats app messages now too so its not just that app. 

I've googled the issue and people have similar problems 

I honestly dont care how much battery i use up i need those notifications and messages straight away but nothing is working

do you have data saver on?

In Settings > Apps is Background data on?

also are you on network 3?

Back ground data is on and yes I'm on 3

could be a network issue, rather than the phone. I'm aware other users had issues with this network, henceforth how I suspect it was this network

Any idea how I would go about solving this.

are you new with 3

or which is a upgrade and your previous plan on another phone had no issue.

Your phone signal in the notification showing as 4g? lte? 3g?

Upgrade. Previous phone was an s9+with no issues.

Phone is showing 4g though it does show 5g in 5g areas

in settings, search reset.
and rest WiFi, Bluetooth and other network settings to if this helps.

OK I've done that. Now let's see if the notifications come through
