New S20 installs update repeatedly

2 Day old S20 installed an update.  Within 15 minutes it requested to install another.  Once complete, it did the same thing a few more times.  Cannot get out of this loop, it is requesting another system update.

Hey @bsp51, did you stop using your phone for a long time? This may be the reason behind several updates accumulating and being released now all together. Also, are all updates the same or are they different? Try doing a Soft Reset of the phone by holding the Volume Down as well as the Power buttons for 10 seconds and monitor the phone to see if it continues to update.

Sorry to hear that this is happening to your new phone, @Hani54. Does it say if it's the same update each time, or is the phone individually installing each update that has been released individually?

Mine is doing the same thing. Same update immediately begins to download and install and restart phone every time it finishes... I want an answer and a resolution to this ASAP

Hello, it's been awhile since the phone was new and it happened. It seems there were many updates that had not been applied till phonec was turned on. Once it was current it stopped, but it was a number of restarts.  If your phone is new it could be the issue.  Good luck.

I purchased my Galaxy s29_ 4 weeks ago and and same issue keeps wanting to install same updat , one you install it comes back new up date this is ridiculous,

Been having the same issue with my S21 5G for over a year now at least. Could be longer. I got help from someone at Samsung online who said to just keep clicking install later and set to a later time to get the notification to go away, but now I'm searching the internet for answers because update notifications still keep continuing and now the message for the first time ever says "Critical update ready to install, please install immediately" which is so fishy!! Basically a few days ago the guy from Samsung who helped me said that if a new software update is truly vital that you will see it as a message in your settings. Except when I go into the software section of my settings the message is unchanged and says "you're all set! You're has been updated to the latest software version." This is all very frustrating and I'm obviously not the only person or only model of phone this is happening to. So weird and annoying.
