New phone slower than 3 year old S9+

I'm thinking about returning my new S20 FE as it is much slower than I expected, and sometimes slower than my old S9+. I'm also finding the touchscreen is a bit temperamental and the onscreen picture not as vivid as my S9+. 

I like a phone that loads quickly and thought that the FE would do so. 

Any advice on whether I change to a different model or try another FE would be appreciated

Try the S20 FE 5G version. It has the Snapdragon 865 which is much better than the Exynos 990 on the 4G version.

Try this.
Go to Galaxy store, look for Galaxy labs, install, open and look for Galaxy app booster, open and give it a run. It should accelerate the software part.
