Instagram stories cropped and not full screen on S20+

Hi all, recently bought an S20+ and noticed that the instagram stories are all cropped and not full screen. It is really getting on my nerves. My S9+ was fine as well as my S10+. I don't understand why everything facebook owns is so incompatible with everything new and constantly gives people issues. I've tried going onto display settings and changing the app preferences personally to full screen mode rather than "auto" but nothing is working or fixing the story issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have an s20 and the same problem. I feel your frustration!! 😡
I also have an issue with FB Messenger video call with the front camera being super zoomed in. I think it is an issue with the app not the phone, but I could be wrong..
Would like to see a solution or update soon!

I have the same problem but it's with my s8, i had it when i accidentaky put instagran to game launcher then when i removed it, it cropped my stories and i cant view it on full screen

SOOO annoying! Even when I create stories, I get the same issue. Any fix yet?!

Same issue here. I prepare my stories in 1080x1920 format on desktop but it looks cropped and ugly when loaded on my S20+. Any ideas how to fix this?

Same problem on S20 + and S20. No solution for a long time. The next phones will be from Apple.

I had the same problem and hopped to get it fix by looking it up here.

I did fix it by erasing Instagram data from the app settings and then i logged again within couple of minutes but i don't know if this is a permanent solution or just temporary

I'm facing the same problem on my Note 20. Deleting the saved memory in the app setting resets this problem but after a while, the bug comes back with the cropped stories and camera. Still waiting for a fix.
