Hi,

How long will the S20 series of phones receive security updates?

Prior to the S20, devices only received 4 years of security updates.

I wonder if it's any different with the S20 series because i believe the number of Android OS updates have increased.

Thanks

That's Android OS updates not security updates.  Prior to the S20 series, Samsung phones received two Android OS updates.

I'm asking specifically about security updates.

So are you attempting to tell me that as of the S20 series, Samsung will provide one year less of security updates than all of their previous phones? So instead of the four years of security updates we're used to, it will now only be three? That doesn't sound right...

What you've pasted doesn't state how long the S20 series will receive security updates. Thanks for trying though.

I think probably 5 years to 7 because even the s9 and s8 still receive security updates...
