Galaxy S20 Series@starshine: Please can you try heading to Settings > Apps > Photos > Force stop, then restart your Galaxy S20 to see if this helps? If the issue persists, try connecting to an alternate Wi-Fi router, or Mobile data, just in case the issue is connection related. Furthermore, head to the Google Play Store > Tap your profile in the top right > Manage apps and device > Updates, and check here for any updates for the Google Photos app that might address these performance issues.
