Google Contacts as default contacts apl

How do I switch from the default Samsung contacts app to the Google contacts app.

Currently both show no defaults set, but there are no options available to set either app as the default contact app.

Anyone know how to do this?

Hi Pugs1957, thanks so much for this - one of the posts there did in fact work: 

Why on earth they had to take away the 'default storage location' option and make it so complicated I really don't know, but it's working now - thank very much!

Weirdly, though, it would only let me look at that post once, when I tried to go back again (intending to 'like' the post I copied above) it wouln't let me in and insisted I had to complete my profile (which I did, yesterday)!  Very weird!
