esim S20 ultra mobile data lost frequently - proximus

Hello,

Since one week I am using a Proximus eSim.

As of that moment issues with my data connectivity started to happen.

My main Sim is the esim. I use it for data. I also have a second fysical Sim for a second number (not using for data).

Now I notice that I have no data connection when waking up the phone at random moments although I have full 4g LTE reception. After a minute or so it starts working.

I also notice it when I suddenly receive 15 notifications at once (after a time offline without knowing).

This is sooo annoying. Seems like a problem with the esim. Seems like it goes into sleep mode (I know it won't be this but it feels like that).

Any suggestions?

Kind regards

talk to your network service provider. this is a problem with their service or their provided sim card and not your handset

agree with greymatter. esims are like physical sims... they can go wrong and need to be refreshed. contact network.

Stupid me.

I didn't recall I installed the android 11/ui3 update overnight last weekend. As I come to think of it... It is the exact moment I started noticing the problems.

I was using the esim a few days earlier without problems so in hindsight it should be the update.

Reset connection setting and wiped cache partition, but that didn't help. I'll probably need a factory reset.

Received new esim and activated that one.

Problem still persists after factory reset and new eSim. Mobile provider doesnt notice anything wrong at their end.

So it's a problem with Android 11 or hardware. So typical.

To give everyone an update.

Problem could not be fixed. Had to return to fysical Sim.

Tried:

Reset network settings

Factory reset

New eSim

Checkup of settings by network provider at their end

Nothing worked. Seems to be a flaw somewhere since Android 11/ui3 or at provider?

I have 2 Galaxy S20 ultra 5G SM-G988B/DS and I had configured  in mars 2020 E-SIM on both phones.

Everything was fine from mars 2020 until 09.12.2020 when Android 11 UI 3.0 was installed and I lost Internet GSM access on both phones the same day.

On one of my phones my provider "Sunrise Switzerland" send me a nano SIM to replace E-SIM and now everything is again OK, but because I use a second nano SIM, now my 2 slots are full and I have no more place for my MicroSD card in this phone. The second phone still has no Internet Access except when I am at less than 50 meters from a GSM antena. When the signal strength is Exceptionally strong, I have Internet access but when I am at more than 50 meters from the Sunrise Switzerland GSM antena, Internet  is gone.

When I am at 60 meter (or more) from a very visible antena on a building near my house it is impossible to have Internet with ESIM with my provider who is Sunrise Switzerland.

Even if I cannot connect to an my Sunrise Switzerland provider Antena who is at 60 meter from my phone, I can connect perfectly to "Orange France" at about 12 Km distance with the  Same E-SIM. Fortunately there is no extra cost for the roaming for me.  Very strange situation.

That means, same phone, same E-SIM, same place only choosing manually the "Orange French" provider instead of Sunrise Swiss" provider give me the access.

I already done everything that was proposed here, without success.

I phone to Samsung Switzerland who recommend me to send the phones to where I buy it.

I am not happy to replace E-SIM with nano SIM because I buy these 2 phones also for this functionality.
