Email from Samsung

Hi peeps hope you're well.

So today I received an email from Samsung saying that Samsung recently discovered a cybersecurity incident that has affected some of my information 😳 

My question is has anyone else received this email at all????

It goes into detail of some of the information that has been taken etc and they have offered me free credit reports from 3 large uk companies to check my reports.

As one would imagine i am extremely concerned with this recent email and I really want to know if anyone else has had the same and what action did you take.

Is the return mail a Samsung one ??

I got that too and deleted it.

a) not addressed to me by name

b) wrong email address

c) referred to American credit reference agencies not UK ones.

Load of rubbish.

Look at the return email

Samsung like a lot of organisations will be in the return email address.

Taken from my own junk mail ... claiming to be from ring door bell. ( zWINehpwOBDo @zWIN ) is just junk and nothing to do with the title

So went onto Google and look what came up 😱

So why is it all over google if thats the case 🤔

In my email personal data ie bank account details and passwords wasn't affected it stated that my D.O.B,name and address details were taken 😡 this also shows up on some of the articles written to.
As i mentioned earlier I have also been offered 3 free reports from uk companys so i can check my credit report as well.
Therefore this is more than a technical samsung data issue don't you think 🤔
