Dust appearance under the camera screen

Hi, I bought my S20+ 5G thirteen months ago. After a few months I started noticing dust under my rear camera lense.

There are no cracks in the lense so I am guessing the cover has not been sealed correctly.

It's now got to point where it is affecting my picture quality badly.

Is this something I can repair myself? Is taking the lense cover off easy?

I wouldn't recommend for you to try rectifying this yourself @Tommycee as the camera module and phone is a sealed unit and not meant to be tampered with unless performed by an authorised Samsung Engineer.

That and breaking the seals on the phone would invalidate your 2 year manufacturing warranty.

You could also introduce further dust into the phone and potentially cause issues inside.

Instead I'd suggest a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre.

In some regions Samsung also offer a doorstep repair service.

These are the links for the UK sites.

I wish you all the best with this.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
