After the update to OneUI 3 google pay doesn't work and the Playstore says my device is not certified.

Have tried deleting the app data from both playstore and google pay and restarted but nothing works.

Is your Play Store certified?

That's O.K.

Strange that some users are certified for GPay and others are still not. Since the issue appears to be at the Google end, then all you can really do is re-boot your phone once in awhile until their fix is applied across all devices and countries.

After re-booting, open Google Pay and click on Check Software. Hopefully,  after a few seconds you should get the message that the software is OK and you can pay now.

So an update..... Google Pay still says contactless isn't set up because of the security issue. But it does actually work and pay for things!

Have you try a full factory reset?

I had a similar problem. My device lost its certification after updating to Android 13 (one ui 5). As suggested here, I was waiting for the next update. This solved my problem.

In the meantime, I also unsubscribed as a beta tester, but I think it didnt matter
