I have damaged my Samsung Galaxy S20 and my mobile phone provider are sending me a replacement over the weekend.

I'm not too familiar with Samsung as I always had Apple smartphones until last year. I'm just wondering the best method for backing up my phone.

My priority is photos/contacts but ideally I would like as much as possible (including settings) to be retained so that I can simply restore everything onto my replacement device.

Does anyone have any advice on how to do this?

Hi @Anonymous User

Personally I use Samsung Cloud to back up most aspects of my phone apart from photo's which it won't back up anymore.

So for photo's I use Dropbox.

Other people may also use OneDrive or Google Photo's etc.

A person can also use Samsung Smartswitch to move content across.

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "
