December update - hide front camera gone

Hi

Just updated my S20 galaxy with the December update, and the "hide front camera" on advanced features under display - full screen apps has gone and I now can't get rid of the annoying black dot front camera cut out.

Please bring the ability to hide front camera feature back

I think you can shorten that week to now. They removed all references to this option from their documentation. Safe to say that they aren't going to restore this feature.

You won't be alone in moving away from samsung phones though. Looks like oneplus and google is going to get a surge in business q1 and q2 2021

Seriously why would anyone remove "hide front camera" option? Can someone please explain? Who approved this?

There is a black hole on my screen all the time!!! Have you ever tried watching something on Netflix full screen? THERE IS A BLACK HOLE!!!

I don't care what it takes but bring back "hide front camera" option!!!

Anyone knows workaround?

I have raised a complaint with Samsung on this. there are lots of people who don't like it... is there a way of doing a group complaint? if not, I suggest putting in a complaint. these phones did not come cheap

The only workaround is to get a new phone. Or downgrade your phone (will reset all data) if you haven't install the January 2020 update yet. If you got the January 2020 update, then you're SOL since Samsung updated the bootloader so the phone can't be downgraded.
