contacts keep disappearing

can any1 help my Samsung s20 fe keeps wiping my contacts off phone

perfect thank you very much i will try this seems strange that they disappear after a few days I've tried putting them on sim I've sync them I've created new folder goes well for 3 or 4 days then they just vanish.

the 2nd link you suggested worked a treat so thankful for your help. i was getting to the stage where i thought I'd fixed it🫣🫣 just to go into contacts to find no names just numbers. i took my time to follow 2nd link and it worked a treat everything names and numbers all returned many many thanks for your help/suggestions had a stress free rest of the evening x many thanks
