When I had the s7 and s8, I could record calls, when I had the s9, I could until Samsung upgraded the firmware and stopped call recording. based in the UK

Now I have the s20 and s21, but neither can record calls because of the UK Samsung firmware.

Can someone explain, why I can record calls on my landline at my choosing but Samsung have taken away my right to choose?

Or alternative way of having my freedom to choose whether to record a phone call or not.

Thank you>

@PhilBoy

hello

blame it on Google 😉

Google is in-charge of all android platform's update and maintenance (regardless of make)

you can search on Google:

"Why did Google remove call recording?"

"Why has Google stopped call recording?"

you may try some apps if will work

😉

This is something that has arisen in discussion before.

It's driven by software and the region a person lives in I believe due to legal reasons in a particular country.

sammobile.com/tips/how-to-record-calls-samsung-galaxy-smartphone explains where to find native call recording if available in your Samsung phone app.

I'm the UK it's OK to record a call in certain circumstances.

is-call-recording-legal explains more.

Take a look in the Playstore as there are apps available that may provide the facility your wanting @PhilBoy

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
