Since the new update my new Samsung s20 plus is losing battery fast . I'm bearly get half a day by I have to change it . I'm not a heavy user . Just use ot to check Facebook.  Most of the time its sat on my side . Even with everything off its losing 10% battery making calls un 3 minutes it lost 5% at nights everything off and wake up from 100% chaged to find its dropped to 75% I've factory reset it un instilled apps and made no difference.  Personally wished I stuck with my Huawei.

I have apps set to deep sleep as well as some in the normal sleep function that I don't need to run or receive notifications from automatically.

I also close down an app in my multi function section if I've finished using it.

A Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre can take a look.

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²³ Ultra 512Gb in Phantom Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

if your phone has WiFi turned on ... your phone will always look for a signal. as its been mentioned.. apps that run in the background can cause battery drain.. plus closing all recent apps will help... press the 3 ||| in the bottom left and close all

I turn everything off when I'm not using it . I close all apps never leave them open . it has done nothing . even now I've only just turned the WiFi on and its dropping like 2%a minute just doing this. even my samsung tablet ain't this bad and its got smaller battery and runs the same software. the amount they want for the phone including pay monthly its not worth it . sending it back and using another brand that ain't samsung or apple

Are you on one ui 2.5? If so i keep hearing from people that there are still many bugs and battery drain issues, your best choice is to update to android 11 when it comes out and hope everything is fixed.

Personally I am still on august 2020 update on one ui 2.1 to avoid all this problems

Don't! I had no problem with ui 2.5 battery lasted a day and a half with heavy use. Android 11 seems to use 80%+ in 7 hours with light use! Needs a fix Samsung. Now!

I own a Samsung Galaxy S20 and my phone battery was great until the new update came and ruined everything. I remember it used to last for a full day and sometimes more. With the new update, they completely changed the settings for power-saving which was not needed. Now we only have one option and that option doesn't even save battery life. Nowadays I have to make sure to pack my power bank where ever I go because my phone might die after a few hours. I have friends that are experiencing the same problem straight after the new update.

Samsung definitely need to solve this issue it definitely has nothing to do with putting apps on sleep mode or turning off your Wifi.
