Hi Everyone - I think it would be very useful if when an email, or other notification, arrived that an overview of that message was shown on the AOD, say for 30 seconds. Currently we get a bing and an icon is shown on the AOD but you have no idea as to what the content of the message is without unlocking the phone and going into the app. I think a short overview shown on the AOD would be so helpful. Thanks, Dave

Hi @Weatherman! 🙂

In Settings > Lock Screen > Notifications, there should be an option to set 'View style' as 'Details' or 'Icons' (along with enabling/disabling 'Hide content' etc.)

Let me know if this helps. If it doesn't work for you, I'll suggest it to the developers. 👍

Hi AntS - very kind of you to suggest this. I had a look and my S20 Ultra does not have the option you mentioned, feels as if it would be good if it did, thanks. Dave

Not sure why you would suggest this? Your instructions are incorrect for the S20. Do I need to activate developer options? I guess it's what you would like to see? Lol

Get from Play Store an app called Glimpse Notifications.

Hi guys,

The developers got back to me, and advised that currently the content of notifications on the AOD can't be displayed, as it could cause significant battery consumption. But if they see a large demand for the feature in the future, then they'll consider making the option available.

LOL. 😁

Sorry about that. I had to make do with an S20 simulator... which appears to be inaccurate for that part. Thanks for letting me know, Habs11 and Weatherman  - I can feed that back to the simulator guys at our end. 🙂👍
