Galaxy S20 Series
This may work and be a compromise.
The thread is in the N20 Ultra section of this forum but a member with a Samsung Galaxy s20 has it working.
Take a look at androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-note-20-note-20-ultra/1008831-note-20-ultra-has-secret-96hz-displa...
I appreciate it's a compromise and possibly not what your looking for but I thought it worth a mention.
Maybe worth also sending your feedback via your Samsung Members App too.
I wish you all the best with this.
Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²² Ultra 256Gb in Phantom Black.
The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help.

Galaxy S20 SeriesJust bought an S20 to find out I can't do this anymore, so I have to choose between 120Hz or decent battery life, when there's clearly a way to get both. This is disgracefull. Limiting a phone's capabilities in purpose, just to make people buy a new one. Samsung is no different to Apple, plus they are doing it in plain sight. Please fix that.

Galaxy S20 SeriesI've had my S20 for over a year now and for that whole time I've had to have 120Hz turned off to be able to actually have a phone that lasts the day, and even then it struggles. If I have 120Hz enabled, I could probably lose 10% battery in minutes. The battery life on this phone is pathetic. They need to sort it out.

Galaxy S20 SeriesI know right! I was able to get like 5hrs screen on time on 120Hz and battery saver on with a "trick", but they removed even that with the one UI 4 update.
