App Freezing

Just updated Pokemon Go (AR Game) to latest version. Freezes every time as soon as game opens. Game was fine before update. No reports of others having same issue with app so assuming its the phone.

Please help - it keeps my son occupied.

You could try going into Settings_Apps_Pokemon_Storage_Clear Cache.

Tried that. Also done a factory reset which doesn't help either.

It may then be beneficial to.contact the app developer and let them know of the bug your currently experiencing @JS05 

Usually developer contact info can be found in the Playstore where the app is.

It's not your phone, it's a Niantic issue that strangely enough only seems to affect us players using an S20, there's plenty of Forum posts about it on fansite 'The Silph Road', i still have an S8+ and even an older S7 and all versions work fine it's just versions 0.171.x are the issue.

not working. also de installing the game and reinstalling is not working. it's the 0.171 and the 0.172 with the issues. the older updates like 0.196.3 are working fine.

All 0.171.x versions are broken, I've emailed niangic support, but tried all the settings that might affect it (screen size/refresh etc) however it's now a forced update so can't even run 0.169.3 anymore...
