hi,I mean, my SM-G988b / ds (LTE), the hardware support 5g or not? i worry is not support 5G,only LTE, so about why model number is :SM-G988B/DS(LTE),
i need 5G device not 4G device, if no support will change The 5g device phone,
I hate Samsung's sell 2 version device(4G and 5g),It makes me feel cheated
SM-G988B/DS hardware supports 5G and LTE/4G, so I reckon you're fine for 5G, @linyex.
S20+ and S20 Ultra all support both 5G and LTE/4G.
It just perhaps gets a little confusing when it comes to the standard S20:
SM-G980F: LTE/4G only
SM-G981B: 5G and LTE/4G
Availability of 5G where you are depends on your carrier/network, so it may be worth getting in touch with them to find out more.
This is the issue. It depends on your carrier supporting 5G currently. Your phone is a 5G model, but if your carrier does not
yet support 5G it won't be listed in mobile networks.
Here's a snapshot of my mobile providers.... Vodafone Ireland support 5G so it appears as an option in my connectivity
settings. Whereas Three Ireland don't support it yet, so it's only showing as far as LTE on their network connectivity.
Yes again....... Your s20 ULTRA SM-G988B/DS is a 5G device. Your carrier needs to support 5G, so you can see it
listed in your Mobile Network settings.
See my picture in the last post. I can't explain it any more!
