Is it possible I could replace my S20 Ultra exynos to a Snapdragon version?

Personally I've had so many overheating issues it's ridiculous. My s10 plus which I ordered from another country has ZERO heating issues and that was a Snapdragon version.

Also I've seen reviews of both versions and the sd version seems to win in EVERY department.

I am from the UK

The U.S.A, Snapdragon models will not work on the global 5G networks. See...

There are also Hong Kong and South Korean Snapdragon models that, "may or may not", be modified to work on the worldwide global 5G networks. See...

Also, since the device is being used in an area that it is not intended for, you will lose your Samsung warranty and repairs may need to be carried out in the country of origin.

Firmware updates will need to be downloaded and installed manually.

I am given to understand that the main exporter of Hong Kong Snapdragon devices, WondaMobile state that, "Not all features of the phone will be available in all areas"

As we say in law in this country... "Caveat emptor"

@Haytch

You can import the Snapdragon version if you wish.

I used WondaMobile to purchase my N20 Ultra Snapdragon version.

WondaMobile pay the import fee's.

WondaMobile apply a 12 month warranty with a simple avenue to send the phone to them if required.

I also have my phone's covered under my Home Contents Insurance Policy.

The Hong Kong version holds the better array of frequencies and bands for the Network's in the UK.

I'm on o2 Payg so can't test 5G but people on xdadevelopers.com have said they've had 5G working.

Everything else works.

Software updates all come via the usual software update section in the phone @ironass as the same as an Exynos version.

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
