Samsung Android 10 problems

I've installed the android 10 update on my S10  and I'm disappointed with the update.I've noticed that the battery drains more quickly than android 9.I was expecting Samsung to fix the battery drain issue and also make the battery life better than before.Isn't Samsung aware of this issue? When will they fix this issue?Even after 7th beta, there are still issues to the stable build of android 10.

Why are these issues common with Samsung devices?People are complaining and yet Samsung hasn't solved these issue nor they are admitting these issues. Why can't Samsung have a look of these issue themselves and fix the problems we have to deal with?

These are these issue we have with Samsung devices:

1:Battery life

2:Battery drain issue

3:Camera

3:Slow software updates

4:Lack of software support

The updates are really slow when you compare it to Google or Apple. If Apple or Google releases a update, the users gets the update straight away but with Samsung it takes a week or worse case scenario you end up getting the update after 1 month! This is ridiculous even after paying so much money for these devices. Why does Samsung charge so much money if they can't even give much attention like Apple or Google? Why can't Samsung just finally end this and provide much more faster software updates than before and fix these issues we have?Alot of Samsung users are fed up with this including me and now users are losing hope in Samsung because they don't even address these issues we have and even till this day,Samsung hasn't fixed these issue even after downloading the stable version of android 10.I was expecting the battery life to be better and especially for them to fix the battery drain issue.Such a disgrace company.

In all fairness, I have neither battery problems or any quibble with the speed of Samsung's updates any more. The last update I got before my partner's pixel. However, I have ongoing problems with google apps - specifically the Play Store and Photos. A factory reset has, for the moment, sorted the Play Store out, but Photos stopped working again after a few hours.

Just bought a new Tab A and it was perfect even after the initial update.  Today, I updated Android that was pushed out and now it is clunky.  I was debating between getting another Samsung or move over to an iPad and I am already starting to regret it after two weeks.

Hi,if it was me,I would get an iPad unless Samsung fixes these issues.I have been using Samsung products for the past 2 years and to be honest, the software side is terrible but the hardware is great.

Hi,the problem is that not everyone will do a factory reset because of these issues.Samsung needs to find a solution without advising people to factory reset their device.

I've had no problems with my Android 10 update whatsoever, I may be one of the lucky ones no battery drain no lag. Sometimes when you have battery drain it's best to look at your apps first something in the background could be your trouble just a suggestion.

Hello, report all of your problems via the Members app. (thats what I did for the camera). That is the best way to make them notice.

1. Battery - not really a Samsung only issue. See once you completely update to a new operating  system. It needs to re-index & rebuild cache for a lot of things from scratch. So few days of weaker battery is not so unusuall. Same song and dance on the iPhones. It eventually gets back to old battery performance.

2. Camera - yep. No excuse there

3. Slow updates...Idk since I just came from Apple. So I have zero exp with Samsung

4. Not really sure what you mean? All of their in house apps work for me so far.

Hi,the reason why I said "lack of software support" because Samsung only gives 2 software upgrades whereas Google and Oneplus gives 3 software upgrades.

Hi @Mohammed_44 , you need to know than after a BIG update, you may have to do a wipe cache partition like @Venom7000  say and this without the need of Factory reset . Also, the battery will have to readjust herself because of all new changes and this is normal too.

Some people beleive it's better to make a Factory reset when the Android version change, i personnaly prefer to wipe cache partition only.

Android is designed to work seamlessly, at least on paper. In reality, Android is way too complex to work perfectly. One of the common reasons why an Android device may slow down or has erratic battery life can be a corrupted system cache. To check if a bad cache partition is to blame, follow these steps:This will not affect any files doing this.

  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.
  3. When the green Android logo displays, release all keys (‘Installing system update’ will show for about 30 – 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).
  4. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight ‘wipe cache partition’.
  5. Press Power button to select.
  6. Press the Volume down key until ‘yes’ is highlighted and press the Power button.
  7. When the wipe cache partition is complete, “Reboot system now” is highlighted.
  8. Press the Power key to restart the device.
  9. Check for the problem.

Hi,I've cleared the cache partition but that didn't help.I'm positive that after I downloaded android 10,the battery just got worse and I have no idea why?The battery life on android 9 was much more better than android 10.I hope Samsung Samsung fixes this issue.
