In order to determine what the issue is with your device, please perform a hardware test on your phone. To do this dial *#0*# into your telephone keypad > tap on 'Receiver' > check whether you can hear any noise. Reboot your phone and make sure that it is on the latest software. Check to see whether there is any fluff or dirt in the earpiece. Check that the call volume is all the way up. If you have a case or cover on your phone, remove this to see whether it helps with the issue. Use the Voice Recorder app to record a message and play it back to check the sound quality. If there is no sound or if the sound quality is poor, there may be a hardware issue with your device.
