How to set up and enable Kids Home on your phone

Giving your phone to kids can be a double edged sword; they can be exposed to content not suitable for them, and they can also inadvertently amend some settings on your phone, or delete some important content.

Kids Home it's a specific environment designed for youngsters to have a go at Samsung's mobile technology. It sets up a separate child-friendly home screen protected by a PIN with the ability to add profiles for six different children.

You can then monitor screen time, set play time limits, control permissions and add apps from Galaxy Apps for Kids. You can also set it up so that your child is able to call approved contacts (e.g. parents or grandparents only) within the app.

Let's see how to turn it on!

  1. Drop down the top menu, swipe to the second page of icons, and select the "Kids Home" icon
  2. Follow the instructions to install the app (only required the first time it's turned on)
  3. Set up a Kids Home's PIN
  4. Once set up, repeat step 1 to access Kids Home, and set up a time limit for that session
  5. Let your kids enjoy your phone without worry

See below how it's done!
