Wrong mac

Setting - about - status retuns a wrong mac address as attested by my router. same with my tab a7 lite. Can someone explain how to fix this annoying issue?  Thanks! In advance

Hi Please can you post a screenshot? Is this phone new to you?

Please explain? Why do you need mac address for? Are you doing some sort of lock down as to what mac connects to your router?

Maybe because used mac was set to random as opposed to tablets mac?

Indeed, the wifi param was set to random mac. After tting it to device mac, the router showed same mac as about - status
