Galaxy S10 SeriesSamsung smartphones supposedly have Wifi Sharing. Which to my mind, means you can connect your phone to a wifi network, then share that network via hotspot with other devices.
I had - or at least, thought I had - been using this to extend my router's reach. Connecting my (Dell) laptop to my router via my (GS10+) phone. I have been doing this for weeks but my data usage has been sky high, so I don't think it's working!
After playing around with it, I see that Wifi Sharing works through the 'Auto-Hotspot' function, which only works "...with other devices signed into your Samsung account or with devices that are part of your Samsung account family group". Does this mean that wifi tethering is only possible to other Samsung devices? Or can I connect my laptop?
