WhatsApp noise

Hi all

When I'm in a conversation in WhatsApp and I recieve a reply I get a sort of weird noise when it comes through. It's hard to describe the sound . Like a machine sound . Does anyone else get this. It only happens when the app is open.

Facing the same issue. Other calling is working fine. Its just whatsapp.

Guys have you managed to find a solution yet. Whenever i make calls on WhatsApp i hear this sort of screeching noise but network calling is okay. When i called the same contacts from a different phone there was no noise. I changed sim card, changed my phone, checked my earphones but nothing. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

Receivers of my WhatsApp video calls suffer terrible squealing noise. Not so when I make a WhatsApp voice call. I have tried uninstalling and reloading WhatsApp but no change. I've done a reboot to original settings.  No good. Any help please?

I'm having the same issue since upgrading to my note 20. Please help or provide suggestions.

Hi All, 

can you please confirm if the app is on the latest version and if you have recently made any changes on the phone? If not, if this is only affecting this app the best way to get this sorted is reporting this to the app developer via de Google Play Store.

I am having exactly the same problem on my new galaxy s20 fe. Weird machine noise with incoming messages. It's not the notification sound. It's happening while I'm already in a chat. I also noticed that WhatsApp jumps to old messages randomly sometimes. Didn't have these problems on my previous galaxy s8
