Upday Card disappeared from Samsung Daily

Hi All,

After upgrading to Android 11, Upday Card disappeared from Samsung Daily (swipe right from home screen) and no longer available. App is still installed and updated through the Galaxy Store. When on Cards Settings in Samsung Daily, Upday not in the list of available cards. And looks like no option to add any new Cards, just what Samsung suggest, e.g. Netflix, Spotify etc. but not what I'm up to. Is that just me or someone else have it missing? Samsung S10 5G, UK

did it many times now, installed/reinstalled - same result ..

works OK on my s10.... but I think I signed up for the beta version

yeah, well, will wait for support response, hopefully they will provide some solution. thanks anyways

Swipe access has gone for me too but swipe down notifications work as a link

yeah, notification works still as expected,sadly the card has gone. it was very useful, don't understand why samsung remove it from Samsung Daily. one swipe and you got a nice Upday card with all latest news. but now, you have to wait for notification to come or go to Upday app through the menu, which is a longer way of getting the news. anyways, fingers crossed they will put it back as it was. thanks for your comments, now I know it is not just me and my phone cheers

I downloaded it but its 'already installed' .. not sure how that works🤔. Going to delete it. and try BBC as I don't use a TV set.... If you open story(/ies)from the notifications drop down just leave it open in background until you're done with all the day's stories. Whenever the selection is updated you'll get another notification list... Funny, I disabled Upday swipe for ages then found it was actually quite useful for some balanced generic news rather than Google, which filters reports from my whimsical browsings and invariably generates irrelevant non news 🙄. ...

Finally sorted, turns out that some how it is linked to the country version of Android 11 update. In a first place I installed European (CH or AU) version and that was causing it disappear, after reinstalling UK based version Upday Card came back to its normal place.

I also had a problem that I could not swipe Upday to the screen from left on my Samsung A3. So I uninstalled Upday and reinstalled, but there was still the same problem... Finally did the following and got it working:

1. Uninstall Upday (Settings-> Apps -> Upday -> Uninstall)

2. Go to Home-screen -> press and keep finger on any empty space on homescreen -> then swipe right. Upday is still visible there -> Disable it by toggling the button -> Press middle button to go back to Home screen

3. Go to Play Store-> Download Update application: "upday - Local & World News" (has a lighter blue icon)-> Install it

4. After that, in Play Store, download "Upday for Samsung" (has darker blue icon) -> install this one too

5. Restart

6. Now , it should work

At least I did not have to find a localized version for United Kingdom (which I don´t even know how to look for it. ) The versions on Play Store looked like they came from Germany, because the names of the downloads were something like upday GmbH.
