Unable to update system apps (Samsung Gallery)

How can I update system apps like Samsung Gallery without allowing "Galaxy Store" access to contacts?

Samsung's Privacy Policy states:

• If you share your contacts, we’ll collect their phone numbers and other contact information to facilitate file sharing and messaging. You can turn off or restrict these features in Settings on your devices.

And I don't want to share my contacts so I didn't allow Galaxy Store access to contacts.

How can I update system apps like Samsung Gallery?

It doesn't since the app in the play store is much older than the preinstalled app.

I don't think it is reasonable to require user's contacts to provide system updates.
