Hi @Sam1989999:smiling-face:

Settings > Sounds and vibration > Volume > System - and slide the slider down.

You can also go into 'System sounds and vibration' and toggle off/on the various options.

Let us know if this was what you were after.

Hi, if that would be that easy I wouldn`t be writing, or this is some error for my phone or me :smiling-face:

This happens when I tap between modes see in picture, and then there is that sound which I can`t turn off.

@Sam1989999: If you go to Settings > Sounds and Vibration > Volume, and move the Ringtone slider all the way to the left, this will disable the notification sound when you switch between Mute and Volume, as above. You can quickly access the Volume settings by tapping the Volume Up or Down button on the right side of the phone and swiping down on the pop up bar. Hope this helps.

I am dying for a solution to this as well. There's nothing more annoying than that little sound that plays when switching from silent mode to sound mode. Especially if you're in a silent environment and you go to switch your phone to silent but accidentally tap one extra time and go into sound mode, triggering that god awful bloop-bloop sound.

We're not looking to mute all system sounds or silence all ringtones; we're just looking to disable one particular, and obnoxious, system sound. Anyone have any ideas?

As OP and plwalsh88 says, it is unbearably annoying to hear the unmute sound every time.

Can Samsung please allow to disable the unmute sound? Or anyone find a solution, eg. delete the unmute sound file from the file system? I would be grateful. Thanks.

This is indeed really annoying - and totally unnecessary. It doesn't even help to switch System off, which is really bizarre (or a bug?).

I finally found this thread and thought there was solution. I have sound turn on at 5am as I might get urgent call, but I don't want a notification telling me sound is on as this wakes me up.

Worked out if on DND then sound does not play, but stupidly if changes to vibrate only then it vibrates.

I am using Tasker for a workaround.

You can add own quickbutton for toggling sound modes and just relegate Samsung built in button to the waste paper bin.

I know this happens when you click from silent mode to sound mode but it is ultimately related to the ringer volume.

If you do the following.

1.  Set sound mode on

2.  Reduce ringer volume to 0

3.  Set sound mode to silent

4.  Set sound mode to on

5.  No beep is heard.

I understand this defeats the purpose of having a button to enable/disable sound but I HAD to know why this happened.

It is EXTREMELY annoying that you cannot set sound mode to on SILENTLY if your ring volume is set to anything above 0.

I use Tasker to set various volume settings programatically based on several factors and this annoying 'feature' sometimes triggers  several times a minute.  Beep, beep, beep, beep

UGH!
