Suggestions not working on recent apps screen - android 10

Since I updated to android 10 it seems that there are no suggestions like there used to be at the bottom of the recent apps screen. I used these alot. Does anyone know of they are gone forever? Or is it a bug of some sort?

Click on the 3 dots in search bar and enable them.
