Smart view works only for images?

Hi there,

I have a Sony S10+ and a Sony Bravia TV (my TV is new from Nov 20)

 

I don't use Smart View much, but I do believe when I used it a few months back, it worked.

 

Currently, when I go into my Gallery, I can only Smart View my images. I.e. I go into an image > click the Smart View button in top right > The options panel comes up with my TV and I click it and it work.

 

When I then navigate to a video, when the options panel comes up, no devices load. It just loads indefinitely.

Also when I drag down the options from the top menu, to try to Smart View my Phone screen, it also loads indefinitely.

 

Does anyone know why?

 

PS. Even images weren't working a few hours ago, but I read another thread where I have to uninstall Webview updates. I did that and now only images work.

Update:

 

So I have two wireless connections, one for 2.4GHz and one for 5GHz. 

 

Both devices were on 2.4GHz when the images worked. I decided to try changing them both to 5Ghz.

On 5GHz, even the image would not connect, none of them worked.

 

I changed back to 2.4GHz and now images work again. Does this help with anything?

You can mirror your screen onto your TV using our SmartThings app, which you download from the Play Store.
