Hi all,

Given the high number of posts and online articles regarding the concerns about the S10e battery life, I want to share my experience which hopefully would be useful to all who are experiencing this issue.

I got my S10e last month and I was very close to return/sell it as the battery drain was the main issue in a perfect phone for camera, size and hardware. However, after researching online and on YouTube and after the following points, my phone experience has changed and I'm finally 100% happy to own my S10e.

  1. Make sure you have updated it to One UI 2.1
  2. Make sure you have the latest June 2020 patch (probably main reason why my battery can last longer finally!)
  3. Use the phone in Dark mode, this saves a lot of battery!
  4. Unistall all these Apps which you don't need and use
  5. Turn down "Display Always On"
  6. Turn on "Adaptive Power Saving" or even better ""Medium Power Saving"
  7. Turn on "Adaptive Battery"
  8. and finally put to sleep ALL your apps, yeas all of them

I hope that with these steps your battery will also improve!

Well i personally advise again adaptive power saving, it will switch to high performance mode whenever it wants to, at least with me it was like that.

The best thing is to set medium power saving at 1080p and stick with it

Since the upgrade my battery runs out in a matter of hours, my whole phone gets really warm and it seems to glitch when using certain apps.

Please release someting to help with the battery drainage because this is a JOKE!

I hope something is sorted quickly.

I'm having the exact same issue. My battery needs charging 2-3 times a day with barerly any usage. I used to get 2hrs screen on time with 50% battery left. Now it's down to 45min with 30% battery left. It will discharge at at least 5% per hour just sitting on the table.

Samsung, you're not addressing the software update that is causing the quick battery drain on all our phones. We have clear evidence that our batteries were not draining nearly as quickly before the Android software update. What are you doing to remedy this issue?
