Hi, I have the latest Firmware update for my S10+ which now allows me to use the Dex Windows App on my computer - in fact i am typing via my laptop through my phone into this now... cool. I dont know if anyone else has taken advantage of this yet but i have noticed one or two issues which i wanted to share...
+ Dex Desktop Constantly crashes - you will be using it just fine then all of a sudden the window will just freeze and my phone's screen comes on - at this point you know its game over - removing the cable and re-inserting appears to fix it - now this wouldnt be a pain if it wasnt for the next issue..
+ Galaxy Bud's Disconnect - I listen to music via my phone/galaxy buds but when i plug the cable in for dex it kills the <at this point the dex app died and refused to work again> music, eventhough the music player app shows it is playing nothing is coming through the computer or the ewrbuds, disconnecting and reconnecting the buds fixes it but with the app dropping all the time it's becoming a pain...
Anyone else had any experience of this app, I can see its potential but it also has its faults

Well this is no surprise, most of this software that is being forced on us is halfbaked with coding that is a mess.
I've gone in and disabled it, was tired of the constant notfications even though I had it set to silent. Plug in the device in the car for Android Auto, constant notifications that it wasn't connected to my pc... Yes, I know because it's connected to the car. Restart, notification, unplug from the car... notification... out of the blue... notification not connected to my pc....
Seriously, connecting directly to the pc and setting the usb to transfer did in essence the same exact thing with no annoying notifications constantly.

It's working OK for me, but not well enough, it's laggy on my PC (i7 3770k, 16GB RAM, Samsung evo 960 SSD). The lag is not that bad, but it's enough to make it unpleasant to work with. Uninstalled.
How did you get it to uninstall? I only have the option of disable.

The usual way, Control panel>programs and features> right click on DEX>uninstall.
Oh, you probably mean from the phone? It waon't uninstall because it's built in, just disable it.

I am having the same issue with Dex crashing my Windows 10 laptop. I have an S10+ paired up with a Samsung Notebook 7 Spin. It works for about 45 min or so then shuts down. I hope they patch this up soon cause I love using Dex.

My Galaxy S9 DEX on pc crashes. Running a Win10 Dell Precision (not one year old) with multiple screens, one of them DEX to run the phone, messaging, VPN, Remote Desktop and high bandwith browsing while working for home. It's an excellent home office setup. The Galaxy also hot spots (no home wifi) for the PC at the same time. Thi is for programs that must run on MS Windows.
Pretty amazing setup on an inexpensive unlimted data plan. Very inexpensive monthly cost considering all the work that being done using just my phone.
My problem seems to be as described above. It may stay up all day. It may crash 6 times a day. Just disappears off the screen. Many times will not start again by reinserting the usbc connector. PC must be rebooted .
No events could be found in the Windows event viewer.
I hope Samsung resolves this issue.

Whenever I connect my phone (Galaxy Note 10+) it pops up with the easy connect screen. I DO NOT want to install it and it's seriously annoying as this process is also a CPU hogger. Can it be stopped?

Happens to my S21FE Android 13, PC and Dex running its latest version.
Mine happened the same today, but my file explorer and task manager crashed so I have to restart it. 🥲
Hope Samsung will fix in the next update.
