Suddenly my phone has been presenting an issue with the volume buttons when the screen is off. I used to be able to increase the volume continuously by press and holding the either button. But now i can only do so by pressing the button repeatedly.
So if the volume is very loud and i need to lower it i can only do so by pressing the button a bunch of times, for example. This issue only occurs when the screen is off and locked though, if the phone is unlocked i can hold the button and the volume changes until i release it.

Same, volume will only continue to increase/decrease by holding volume button while Spotify is open or if I have aux cord plugged in. Otherwise I have to keep hitting the button

Whoa thank u dude!!! It saved me! I tried a lot of restarting and app killing and couldn't fix it, I noticed some apps it would work and on main screen or music player it wouldn't and as soon as I deactivated "Get help from Google" it worked! And yeah turned it back on and it made sure that was the problem here 😪 get help from Google more like get rekt by Google... Anyway this is the same on all new androids I suppose, since I don't own a Samsung but a Asus Zenfone 6. Thank ya man!
