S10+ WhatsApp Video Quality

I've noticed that when filming video using then native camera app then sharing that video in a WhatsApp convo the quality is potato quality. I'm sure it was never this reduced on my S9+ ... Anyone else having this problem??

I'm having the exact same problem. I also came from a S9+ which didn't have this issue.

How depressing! Is this a WhatsApp issue or Samsung ?

Had the same issue, turn off HDR10+ off in camera settings

Have the same issue. The video quality that is recorded in WhatsApp is very poor. Using 10s+.  HDR10+ is turned off and still an issue.

When you upload a video to Whatsapp it compresses it, and I believe this goes for all files above 16MB. With this in mind, when capturing videos intended for Whatsapp, please reduce the resolution to keep the file size down, or use third party compression software to meet their upload criteria. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Hey I found out that if you go to settings and click on screen size for applicstions, change for example Whatsapp and insta instead of full screen change it to automatic and quality will improve. Insta stories look waaaaay better and whatsapp a Little better.
