S10 Screen Protector

Hey there so finally I took the plunge and chopped in my old S7 for a nice shiny S10, however the fun has somewhat diminished.  I've now tried two different manufacturers screen protectors, both of which claimed to work with the ultrasonic fingerprint reader.  "Surprisingly" neither of them do, I've seen mentions of the Whitedome screen protector with differing reviews, not overly happy in paying out that much dosh if the darn thing doesn’t work brilliantly.

Can anyone offer me some ideas or suggestions on screen protectors that will work as ideally I would like to use my fingerprint reader, tvm

i have a domeglass. I installed one last year and after 2 hours the scanner started to work normally again, changed it yesterday for a new domeglass because mine got scratched and the scanner today is work fine.

The domeglass works you just need to be careful when installing it, take domeglass video about how to install it and do exactly what they say and respect the time they give for the bottom half of the phone, not 1 second more not 1 less just stick to the time they said.

The scanner may be ko for a few hours since the glue needs 2 days to be fully cured after 1 week at most it will be perfectly recongnising you fingerprint.

If it is more a miss than a hit after installing the domeglass before removing it because you think it is defective you have to take into account the fact that to use the scanner you need to have i little bit of practise because in general it is quite picky about how you put the finger on it. It took me 6 month to understand how you are supposed to place the finger in the correct position, sounds stupid but it is not that intuitive at all.

Thanks, some of the reviews I read earlier mentioned install issues hence my concern on spending £40 if the scanner still does not work.

Everything Archer Legend says about Dome goes for the Mocolo Nano Optics UV light-at ~25% of Dome's price. I have tried them both and they both behave identically. The mocolo package has much less accessories inside-they are not very useful in my opinion anyway.

If you install any of them, the fingerprint sensor won't be the same, period. But it will be pretty much the same, plus  better feeling than a plastic membrane, plus better transparency. Everything Archer Legend says is correct, you have to get used to the sensor and learn to "feel" it better, in that way you'll get 90% of its accuracy.

Your phone is one of the best, and this problem with the fingerprint sensor and the tempered glasses is not that big, IF you are willing to spend some time to get used to it.
Right now I have my phone next to me, flat on the desk. The room does not have much light, I touched the screen with my index (which is not very ergonomic anyway) an it unlocked instantly. There's not a single time that I'll miss the unlock when I use my right thumb. Things are not that serious.

Hey don't get me wrong I'm not saying its not great its just disappointing to spend all that money on a new handset and not be able to protect it properly that's all 😁

So I bit the bullet and ordered the Dome pack, luckily I went with the double pack as even though I watched the video several times and paused during the install it still went pear shaped and the scanner didn't work at all. Second attempt worked slightly better scanner worked but it had not sealed across the whole screen. So I claimed under warranty and got 2 replacements, I had someone else install and they were able to get it installed with minor imperfections, finger print scanner is still intermittent so it's on for now but not sure how long it will last.

If the scanner did not work you had to wait a few hours😑
