s10 photo editor update

what happened to the photo editor?  Likewise, what happened to the camera, period? after the last update my photo quality has degraded SIGNIFICANTLY and the lack of being able to edit backlighting from the native application renders the camera editor useless. These two factors have completely destroyed the photographic superiority of the camera on the samsung phones which is the ONLY reason I keep buying Samsungs! i am thoroughly disgusted by the current lack of resolution on my Samsung S10 photos.

Why did you change the native photo editor?

why is the picture quality so poor now? Why does the night mode have ZERO capabilities in comparison to its last iteration? 

 why is the resolution of pictures i took with my S3 SO MUCH BETTER than what I can now take with my S10?

why did samsung destroy the camera?

try clearing the data

tap and hold the camera app icon → tap "i" → tap storage → tap clear data 

same with camera editor 

let's see if will work out

Clear camera app data and clear the cache partitions.

I had a similar experience on my s10 plus on one ui 2.0 and a lot of iterations of one ui 2.1

For that reason I decided to stop at the august patches of 2020, the last of one ui 2.1 which have no bugs and no performance deg, they are just perfect.

My advice would be to wait till the end oof one ui 3.1 build and then lock the updates if you find that everything is as you want it to be and is running fine

Thx for the suggestions  I have repeatedly cleared app and partition caches to no avail .. and as for locking the updates.. i have attempted to do that many MANY times over the years and even when I have imokemented those settings the update notifications repeatedly pop up and several times, the updates have very sneakily popped up RIGHT when I am texting or typing something abd quite conveniently the "accept update" button appears RIGHT where I am texting and I hit the uodate buttin before I can even stop it! AFTER i have changed the settings to not do autonatic updates OR notify me of updates! in fact, the last time it happened, i was in the middle of the desert in the middle of the night trying to figure out where i was on my map app and as i was typing in a location, the "accept update" button popped RIGHT where I was typing, i accidentally hit it after rejecting it NUMEROUS times and I was then stranded for another 20 minutes as I had to wait for the update to complete!! it was extremely sneaky and even potentially dangerous... not cool at ALL.

is there another method of locking updates that I am unaware if? is it in the developer options?

what happens if I clear the data? it says i will lose all my databases, so does this mean all my pictures are deleted?

clearing data will delete only the photos in the recycle bin, the others will be unafceted

This issue is the same on S20 Plus. the over exposure on the camera is a disgrace.
