s10+ Low Audio Quality of Media While in Whatsapp/Discord/Skype Call

Hey, just got my s10 Plus a few weeks ago and found a bug that HASN'T been fixed in forever..

Things I've tested..
Listening to spotify BEFORE going into a Whatsapp/Discord call still works as normal. But once you skip/pause the song the bug happens starts.
Turning Wifi calling off doesn't do anything.
Messing around with samsung sound assistant doesn't do anything.
Using the game launcher trick doesn't work.
Messing around with Dolby Atmos doesn't do anything.
Some games will totally ignore this bug and sound normal.
YouTube vanced is the only app that uses "media vol" over the "In-call vol", yet still sounds somewhat ****.
Replaced the phone.

UI 2.0 update didn't fix it.

Also, my friend who has the Snapdragon chipset WASN'T getting this problem untill today after she updated with the July update...

Anyone else also getting this?

I'm still having this problem as well. Discord video and audio looks and sounds like a potato. How is such a simple feature so buggy on a flagship phone that cost as much as it did when I bought it!

I found an actual solution

Go to Settings/Sounds and vibration/Sound quality and effects/UHQ upscaler and select 'Bit and bandwidth upscaler'

See if that does you any good. Unfortunately Samsung support is as useless as the people that comment saying they have the exact same problem.

I had to return my new Samsung due to this problem. This is definitely a dealbreaker for me and I have been using Samsung for a decade but I am thinking of switching brands now. They won't fix it and leave me with no choice. Does anyone know of an Android 10 phone that doesn't have this problem? I'm desperate 🙏

I just tested Discord and it seems to be working fine 😕 Did you change the discord settings and forgot to change them back?

Also you should probably submit an error report, luckily you don't have to speak to live chat... :))))

Under phone settings type "contact us" open, then click "error reports" paste this website link into the box and send. Make sure you read the privacy thingy

Try turning on WiFi calling. Really improved the call sound quality. However, only works over WiFi. I used to get terrible sound quality while listening to music in a discord channel...not anymore!
