I purchased the s10+ on pre order and purchased the LED view wallet cover also at the same time. After the January update, it has stopped working. I have messaged Samsung on twitter and live chat and they gave me loads of steps to follow with the final one being to factory reset my device. They then concluded that the update has made the cover stop working but have not provided me with a solution for this problem.
When I put the cover on I get the notification "congratulations on your new cover" and the "LED icon editor" app also appears. Literally everything on the device is the same but The LED notifications no longer appear on the cover.
Is anyone else having the same issue and found a resolution yet? I must say I'm very disappointed that I have the 1tb version and bought the most expensive Samsung cover which has stopped working as a result of their update and now not getting any help regarding my problem.
I too am experiencing the very same on my S10+.
Keeps notifying it needs to update the LED cover.
And when you do download the update it keeps saying it couldn't be updated.
So I uninstalled it and tried it again. Same thing. No difference.
Frustrating and annoying that one spends such a lot of money and there is no update support
Hey there. . I had the same problems with my led cover for s10+. . It was working for ages and the update always said it couldnt update. . What I did to get the led case working again is . I tried to update the case as normal. . As the download got to 20% 30% through I took the phone totally out the case. . . After a minute or so I put my phone back in and wham it works. . It still says it has a update I think but case works as normal again. . Good luck
I have the same issue, earlier this year the update stopped the music control features, any use of LED cover buttons, stop working. Although the controls were there they didn't work.
Today... a new update has entirely removed the controls. Some transparency from Samsung would go a long way.
It has happened to me twice!!
Directly after update the case stopped working.
First time a couple of months ago.
Samsung customer service couldn't help.
At the time I was in Thailand and there I visited a Samsung office. They said that the case was broken, which I didn't beleive for a minute. Some weeks later the case started working by itself!
Unfortunatly I tried to update again a couple of days ago. Of course same thing happened. So stupid of me! It's obvious that Samsung don't care. So many months and no change!
I have seen on the Internet that same problem exist with the S9, so probably the problem has existed for a long time. Hope the problem goes away by itself again. I promise I will never update again!!! One more thing: Some hours after problems the led lit up once. Waiting for luck now...
