S10 keyboard

hi all,

my first post in the samsung community. had the iphone 5 since first release, after a long time with it i decided to switch back to old samsung. wife has an s9 and i just love the performance, love the gorgeous design, love the fact that if the phone took a swim, it had a high probability of survival. so i put my foot down this january and bought the s10 in a nicely accented prism white.

living with this phone is fabulous, nice bright flashlight, health app that monitors your wellbeing, the ability to tailor fit the phone around yourself and much more. sorry i am drumming on. onto my question, my one gripe is, more often or not when i go and type a sentence and the keyboard opens, i press the first character, there would be a lag in the initial "click" and when i press the second character the "clicks" would "stick" or merge into one click. i have tried formatting the phone, tried gboard and swiftkey, same result. no luck on google. it is just ruining my experince a tad as it doesnt feel fluid. my wifes s9 has no such issue neither does my mothers note 8. is this also the case for my fellow s10 users? p.s. i dont want to turn the clicks off as i somewhat enjoy it

I agree it is an awesome phone @Victor-C 

The hardware and software is at the top of the game in my opinion.

To the issue your experiencing I can't replicate this unfortunately but as all phones are set up in many ways very differently its near impossible to diagnose ehats going on.

I use the Samsung Keyboard on my Note 10+ 5G but prefer not to use the clicks as i prefer silent typing.

But when with clicks On it's working fine.

Have you tried a soft reboot by turning the phone Off and On  ?

Thank you @BandOfBrothers for your reply and may i add what a brilliant choice of username, i cant even tell you the number of times i have repeated that series, i even rewatched the entire series recently on a long haul flight!

That said, i went as far as reformatting the phone just because it was simply annoying. And even though the warranty is still valid, i dont think samsung will warrant as it was purchased on ebay.😕

I agree it's a fantastic mini series showing us how these guys became a band of brothers watching each others back in dire times.

I chose the name as a mark of respect and also in that as forum members I feel we all band together to help each other.

The 2 year Samsung Manufacturer Warranty follows the phone and not what place you purchased it. The but of small print is to check if a phone which has been bought from another country i.e a grey import will then be supported by Samsung.
