Hi all, so I've been moaning about how rubbish the battery on my S10 is , off charge this morning at 9 , 15 minutes later it went to 98% and by 11pm it's on 4% no gaming or YouTube videos or music playing just browsing the web and some social media , installed accubattery and saw this !!!

the first thing I'd do is check for viruses and backround running apps then if the issue is still there I'd get the battery replaced

As ghosty mentioned, phone batteries degrade over time, every time they are charged, the capacity of the battery will reduce, how old is your phone?

Also, check the Health tab on accubattery, it will explain it to you 👍

Hey there Edgie70!

How many times have you actually charged your phone with AccuBattery running?

I've used AccuBattery myself, and it takes a few charges to get an accurate reading - on the first read, it reckoned my S20 had a capacity of 2900mAh, well under the 4000mAh! However, after a few charges, it pulled that up to 3,750mAh.

Also, 400mAh of capacity degradation. That's not a lot, especially if you've had the phone for a couple years! 😉

Hope this helps,
Tom 🙂

let's say your s10 is a couple of years old and it's got about a 3000mah battery left. you say you have it on at 9am and use it lightly all day and have about 4% left at 11pm (14hrs later). I don't see anything out of the ordinary here in my opinion..

Hi @Edgie70

This is a complete article about battery and life .This is a fairly complete and accurate article by a reputable source.

As Example , did you know this :

If you do find yourself regularly operating at or below 20% charge, it's entirely possible you will notice a degraded battery after a year of use.

( i saw many screenshots here with less than 20% of battery)  Don't forget to read the Conclusion and to give me your feedback !

Also, keep in mind than social media or camera are the most energy consuming after gaming .
- Did you have enable Adaptative battery in Device Care
- did you wipe cache partition after major Android update
-did you clean memory regularely
-did you check what's running in background ?

Personnaly, regulary i clear cache and data of Device Care application

Give me your feedback about the article
