Had s10e new for a few months now and it's on Android 11 with One UI 3.1.

I am really disappointed in the camera quality the shots never seem to light correctly and the tint/warmth is always off (HDR off or on) and look grainy with heavy jpeg artifacts close in. The only half

decent shots i can achieve is outside in daylight. I know there was an issue with the camera on the 11/UI3.0 update but It's just never been right.

Tried resetting the camera settings made no difference.

try resetting camera app. it's so odd I haven't even got February update or one UI 3.1 and I'm still on one UI 3 and January update patch level. S10+

thanks for your reply. Yeah I've tried resetting the camera app made no difference. One UI 3.1 update with March security patch hit my phone yesterday. UI 3.1 had some changes to the camera with exposure and focus but not made any difference to my shots.

no haven't tried that yet and really shouldn't have too everything else is spot on with the phone. I doubt it will make any difference the camera has not been right out the box.

Loads of posts on here, including several from me about real disappointment with S10e camera in indoor shots with low light. Lots of over processing with waxy looking skin etc. What is actually worse is that if you go into the S21 forum on this site, you will find similar posts for the S21.

The issue is not with the hardware it is the post processing. Too much emphasis on silly filters and smoothing skin etc.

No more Samsung for me when contact is up.

Yes i agree, I have been really disappointed with the s10e camera particularly in low light and indoors as i said the only decent shots I can get are outdoors in daylight.

Expected a lot more from this camera, however if it is a software problem and image processing I don't quite get what ppl at samsung are looking at and just bloody fix it.

Finally bit the bullet and moved from Samsung to the new Pixel 6. Absolutely loving it.

Took a few pictures the other night in the living room using both phones set up on a tripod to ensure conditions and positioning was the exact same. Both were using main camera with flash set. The S10e pictures were really dull and the dark shirt i had on showed no detail, the textured rug and settee were really uninspiring.

The same picture on the pixel 6 really stood out, you could see every button on the shirt, the other items in the room were so much brighter and detailed. The lamps in the corner could be seen in the pixel pic, in the S10e it was just a big splurge of light.

Genuinely loving the phone, i honestly think that most decent phones nowadays are very similar and it is a decent camera i now look for and believe i have now found it.

One further grip i ended up having when looking at samsung, they have way too many phones out there, far too many variations etc. Make one or two and focus on them please.

Cheers.
