Hi, I have a Galaxy S10+ and I can't get it to update.
Model Number - SM-G975F
Current Version - G975FXXU1ASD5/G975FOXM1ASD4/G975FXXU1ASD4
Security Patch Level - 1 April 2019
Bought from Amazon from Seagull-UK
I have downloaded Smart Switch and before I reset my phone as a sescond step it kept struggling to connect - it would seem to constantly connect and re-connect (charging sound played constantly).
I eventual managed to get it to connect and did not see anything about a new update.
I then tried factory re-setting my phone and still the same issue.
I tried to use smart switch again and sometimes it did not connect at all and othertimes it started charing but smart switch stayed on the connect your phone screen and I just tried again while writting this post and had both of the above situations a few times then randomly got the 'mosture detected in charging port message
Unfortunately it's not rare to see this.
I'd ask for a refund and source one locally.
Current Phone ~
Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5G SM-N9860_256Gb SnapDragon 865+
Samsung One Ui 3.1/ Android 11.
Ok, I visited the samsung store and they confirmed that it was an itallian phone and they said that I would have to check with my network if I would get the updates as they are released by the networks. (Or they could put the latest version they had on it but that would mean my phone would have to be reset)
I messaged o2 and they said that when the updates are released in Italy I should also get them.
Is there anywhere I can find this info out? Or am I best just trying to get a refund and get a new phone that is actuall UK registered?
Hi,don't purchase the phone from Ebay/Amazon because most likely they would be imported which will result of slower updates. If I you then I would request for a refund.
I went to local Samsung service centre and they reset phone and installed latest android. I had a Polish phone in the UK. Phone now gets security releases .
