One UI 3 has deleted apps/disabled mobile hotspot

About a week ago, I installed the One UI 3.0 update onto my Galaxy s10e, and since then, I've been having some issues.

For some background info, before the update, I had no issues, and everything on my phone worked fine. I used Spotify as my main streaming platform, and my Verizon mobile hotspot was working flawlessly.

After the update, I instantly noticed that the Spotify app had not only been completely deleted from my phone, but that I was no longer able to re-install it at all. Every time I go to Google Play Store to try and download it, I am prompted with a, 'App not installed/Can't install Spotify' error message. Every other app, including Spotify lite works perfectly fine, but for some reason, the normal Spotify just no longer works on my phone.

Another issue I have is with my mobile hotspot. As I said, I am using Verizon, and before updating to One UI 3.0, my hotspot worked fine. Nothing has changed with my data plan, but as soon as I got Android 11, it said that I was 'No longer subscribed to the mobile hotspot service.' I know it's probably a question that should be asked to Verizon themselves, but it just seems oddly strange that the hotspot stopped working at the exact time I got One UI 3.

I have no clue how these problems happened, and if anyone has any help or advice on how to fix them, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks!

it does tell you to back up all your apps and data you should really read before downloading I'm not trying to be rude but have seen several posts about missing photos etc and people blaming samaung but didn't read the big block capita writing. the reason Spotify won't be working is because Spotify won't have updated to one UI yet. over the next few days you will notice all your apps starting to update

Thanks for the reply!

I see what you're saying, but here's the problem with that: my account and apps ARE backed up and synced to the cloud. Plus all of my other apps work fine, so I still don't know what happened.

You could be right about Spotify not being supported, but here's my issue with that: I know two people, one with a Galaxy N20Ultra, and one with a Galaxy s10+, and they both are running the latest version of One UI 3.0, with both of them using Spotify with no issues.

I don't know what else to do that could fix this, but I appreciate the response.

Try clearing system cache. I had several issues until I did this. It may or may not cure your Hotspot issues.

Grrrr! You posted the same question twice and responded to your other thread. In a nutshell, try clearing system cache.

I created a thread on reddit and someone posted a reply for the Spotify app at least:

Can't install Spotify on Android 11 / One UI 3 : galaxys10 (reddit.com)

It does include installing a cracked app. Uninstalling it again, makes it possible to also download the regular version from the Google Play Store again.
